**Position Summary**

The Junior Human Resource Generalist is the main point of contact for any human resource needs from constituency offices.

**Major Duties and Responsibilities**
- Respond to inquires from employees relative to policies, benefits, hiring, pension, payroll, etc
- Create and distribute all employment related documents (new hire, leave, termination, etc)
- Keeps up to-date records in the HRIS, including vacation, leaves, benefits, etc
- Recruit and interview potential applicants
- Provides offer letter or rejection correspondence
- Prepares new employees files
- Oversees completion of new hire documentation
- Supplying employment verification and job letters.
- Assist Directors with employee performance appraisals.
- Review bi-weekly payroll to ensure it is accurate
- Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and employment law changes
- Plan training sessions to offer employees through EAP
- Provides guidance/advice to offices regarding employees

**Education/Experience**
- Diploma/Degree in Human Resources or related field
- 6+ months of Human resource experience
- Working towards CHRP/CHRL is considered an asset
- Proficiency using HRIS
- Confidence in MS Office 365 and Outlook
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong problem solving skills
- Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations
- Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday

Ability to Commute:

- Toronto, ON M7A 1A2 (required)
