At CSSI we are looking for a Human Resources Generalist to build out the HR function. We’re searching for a qualified and resourceful human resources generalist to support our employees in ensuring smooth and efficient business operations. The human resources generalist will have both administrative and strategic responsibilities, and will help with important functions such as staffing, training and development, and compensation and benefits. At CSSI, we understand that our business thrives when our employees thrive, and it begins with hiring the right Human Resources Generalist.
We primarily offer a remote work environment with some in office days to be determined. The position will report to the C.E.O. and will include assisting with HR budgeting and controls.
Duties / Responsibilities
- Leading the development and execution of HR policies and procedures, and provides guidance and interpretation for business operations.
- Recruits, interviews, and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
- Conducts or acquires background checks and employee eligibility verifications.
- Implements new hire orientation and employee recognition programs.
- Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, occupational health and safety; and training and development.
- Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
- Ensures compliance with local and national regulations and applicable employment laws, and update policies and procedures when necessary.
- Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
- Assist in the development, communication and upkeep of employee handbook, and organizational chart.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ethics and cultural awareness.
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Aptitude for problem solving, analytical ability and thorough knowledge of HR procedures and policies.
- Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
- Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Strong Decision-making skills
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required.
- At least two years HR experience within a mid-sized organization.
- Experience working with a national / global remote employee groups.

**Salary**: $60,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
