Lakeland Interpretive Society is seeking an independent, community-minded, and organized person for the full-time permanent position of Tourism & Social Media Coordinator to be employed at the Lac La Biche Museum.

**Qualifications**
- A post-secondary diploma or degree in Business Administration, Marketing or Communications or another related post-secondary degree/diploma/certificate
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role.
- Experience in various marketing and communications initiatives, including owned and earned media activities, influencer marketing, storytelling, digital promotions, advertising, etc.
- A collaborator with strong relationship-building and consultation skills
- Excellent organization, time management, and project management skills
- Keen attention to detail with a proven history of meeting targets and deadlines
- Previous museum work or volunteer experience an asset

**Specific Responsibilities**
- Monitor front desk
- Provide customer service including but not limited to gift shop sales and information about the museum and its exhibits
- Collect and report visitor stats, social media stats, event stats, and gift shop sales records to the Museum Manager/Director
- Prepare reports regarding social media, projects, events, and other activities you have been participating in on behalf of the museum and present this information to Museum Manager/Director and the Board of Directors
- Supervise and provide training and guidance to summer student staff
- Represent the museum at meetings and events
- Work with the Museum Manager/Director to prepare an overall plan for social media engagement/promotion and implement the plan
- Create regular social media posts on behalf of the Museum
- Update Museum on various travel/promotional websites
- Coordinate events, evening programming, and assist with fundraising
- Recruit volunteers to assist with events, programming, and fundraising
- Ascertain opportunities for enhancing museum promotion and work with the Museum Manager/Director to develop a marketing strategy for the museum
- Develop promotional materials as required
- Identify opportunities for enhancing existing exhibits/programs or adding new exhibits/programs
- Deliver community programming and assist with guided tours as required
- Within allocated budgets, pursue continuing education in the form of meetings, training, workshops, and coursework that is relevant to the continued success of the museum
- At all times act in the accordance with the Policies and Procedures adopted by the Lakeland Interpretive Society
- Be active in the community and represent the Museum in a positive, friendly, and respectful manner
- Perform administrative duties as required
- Perform light cleaning duties as required
- Perform other duties as required.

**Location/ Work Environment**

While performing the responsibilities of this position the employee may be required to sit, stand, stoop, crawl, reach with arms and hands, and/or climb. Other physical demands include lifting boxes and other objects and the preparation of exhibits/displays or activity areas.

While performing the duties of the job, the employee may be exposed to dust, dirt, mínimal carpentry hazards, and cleaning products. The noise level of the facility will be quiet to moderate.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $23.00 per hour
