HERES WHAT WE DO
As one of the fastest growing metal recycling and management organizations across North America, Combined Metal Industries (CMI for short) sources and processes recycled ferrous and non-ferrous metals and ensure they do not end up in a landfill or go to waste. Our recycling stream ensures that all metals that enter our yards will create something new again We have multiple sites, located in North York, Vaughan and Cambridge.

HERE’S WHERE YOU COME IN
CMI is looking to hire an enthusiastic and motivated Administrator for our Head Office in Vaughan, ON. In this role, you will support both internal and external customers and make sure they have a positive experience with CMI. You will be working with the Industrial Services Teams and providing customer/consumer and administrative support to them.

SOUND GOOD SO FAR? HERES WHAT YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR IN THIS ROLE
- Assisting the Industrial Services team with administrative tasks
- Ensure transactions are appropriately priced and correctly labelled
- Sort and distribute paperwork from yards to traders
- Sort/collate and distribute cheques from finance to traders
- Back up processing transport invoices
- Ensure all purchase contracts are copied at end of the year and active for the following fiscal year
- File and retrieve documents, records and reports
- Understand and enter brokerage transactions
- Enter contacts into Outlook as requested
- Update price tracking spreadsheets
- Prepare responses to correspondence containing routine inquiries
- Process a variety of documents that include highly confidential correspondence, memos, proposals, presentations and reports
- Liaise with customers/consumers to coordinate purchases and sales
- Resolve customer/consumer concerns or forward them to appropriate personnel for resolution

WHAT WILL MAKE YOU A VALUED MEMBER OF OUR TEAM?
- High School Graduate
- Post-secondary education in an administration or business program is an asset
- Previous experience in customer service or administration is an asset
- Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal)
- Intermediate computer skills with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
- Customer service oriented, possess tact and judgement in dealing with difficult and demanding customers
- Must be able to respond to tight deadlines during regular and peak periods and to last-minute demands and requirements
- Organized, detailed oriented, able to prioritize tasks
- Ability to multi-task
- Ability and desire to learn
- Possess a high sense of initiative
