**JOB SUMMARY**:
The HR Coordinator is responsible for administration processes related to the Human Resources department. This entry level role is responsible for supporting several services and programs, including HRIS administration and management, benefits and pension administration, vacation and sick leave reporting. The HR Coordinator is responsible for data entry and file maintenance.
**General Administration**:
- Provide administrative support as required for the HR team
- Maintain organized employment files with accurate and up to date employee information and other department records to ensure compliance with all legislative laws
- Record Management
- Inbox monitoring and assignment of HR team mail
- Letters for employees (employment letters, position changes, etc.)
- Some reception coverage required
**HRIS Administration**:
- Process and manage HRIS data
- Train and mentor employees and managers on HRIS
- Track and report on vacation entitlements and sick leave
- Process vacation reports for managers on a quarterly basis
- Advise payroll of taxable benefit payments (referral rewards, service anniversaries, etc.)
- Participate in HRIS efficiencies and implementations
**Health and Pension Benefits Administration**:
- Benefits and pension enrolments, changes, and terminations
- Assist employees with inquiries and resolve any issues or concerns related to the benefits and pension plans
- Report generation and creation for pension and benefit eligibility tracking
- Liase with payroll to ensure transfer of correct information regarding benefit costs and generate reports
- Coordinate and process other benefit programs (wellness bursary, corporate gym membership, etc.)
- Communications regarding all benefits programs
**ACADEMIC AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS**:
- Post-secondary education preferably in Human Resources Management
- 1-3 years of work-related experience preferably with payroll administration
- CHRP Designation in progress or completed
- Proven ability to work efficiently and effectively in a team environment with multiple stakeholders
**REQUIRED SKILLS**:
- Microsoft Office
- Advanced level Excel required
- Strong drive for accuracy and flawless execution
- High level of attention to detail
- High integrity and demonstrated ability to maintain the confidentiality of employee-related information
- Demonstrated ability to be proactive
- Takes initiative and ownership to resolve issues
- Strong organizational and time management skills to manage multiple and shifting priorities
