**JOB DESCRIPTION**:
The **Human Resource Coordinator** will be under the supervision of the facility manager, but will report directly to the HR manager and be an entity of ProPack Corporate. The Human Resource Coordinator will perform administrative tasks and services to support effective and efficient operations of the organization’s human resource department. The right individual for this role is someone who enjoys a family friendly work environment, helping others from all walks of life, detail and service oriented personality, and a willingness to tackle difficult challenges to help maintain a happy and healthy workplace for all.

**SCHEDULE**:

- Monday - Friday 8:30 am - 5:00 pm

**Duties/Responsibilities**:

- Maintains accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records, and documentation.
- Conduct recruitment and onboarding processes.
- Being the go-to person for employees with benefits-related questions.
- Navigating comp claims.
- Proficiently navigating the law in both BC & ON.
- Answers frequently asked questions from applicants and employees relative to standard policies, benefits, hiring processes, etc.; refers more complex questions to appropriate senior-level HR staff or management.
- Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records.
- Assist HR Manager and Facility Manager with employee conflict resolution as needed
- Provides clerical support to the HR department (receiving, distributing and collecting employee forms, handling inquiries from employees, answering requests from HR department)
- Acts as a liaison between the employee and senior-level HR staff regarding inquiries.
- Conducts new hire orientation.
- Assists with planning and execution of special events such as benefits enrollment, organization-wide meetings, employee recognition events, holiday parties, and retirement celebrations.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Potential for supporting GMP & QA tasks & assisting safety team
- Help Facility Manager maintain schedule for employee reviews, raises and improvement plans
- Help Facility Manager with daily, weekly and monthly employee audits, reports and deadlines
- Assist Facility Manager with organization, communications with other facilities and HR Manager, filing, note taking, meeting scheduling

**Required Skills/Abilities**:

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong understanding of both BC & ON province law.
- Strong understanding of Canadian federal law.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- High standard of integrity and confidentiality.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

**Education and Experience**:

- Bachelor's degree in related field preferred.
- Prior related office experience preferred.
- **Minimum 3 years HR experience.**

**Physical Requirements**:

- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
