**Requirements**:

- HR professional with at least 6 years of progressive human resources experience including demonstrated experience designing and implementing various HR initiatives (Project Work)
- Post-secondary education in Business Administration/Human Resources or a mix of education and applied experience considered
- In a workplace setting, have demonstrated and applied understanding of Canadian employment legislation including but not limited to BC Employment Standards Act, Canadian and BC Human Rights legislation, BC OHS, & BC Privacy Act (PIPA)
- Hybrid - must be flexible to work on site as needed

**WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING**:
**HR Consulting & Legal Compliance**
- Effective delivery of human resource services including but not limited to consultation and advice in all disciplinary and non-disciplinary matters, investigations, complaints, attendance management, performance management, health & safety and workplace accommodations to ensure business objectives are met.
- Provide strategic advice to clients in the areas of human rights, employee relations, employment legislation, policies & procedures.
- Conduct effective, thorough, and objective investigations
- Manage WCB Claims & Appeals

**HR Projects & Programs**
- Collaborate to create, plan, and implement various HR projects - performance management, wellness, onboarding, offboarding, engagement, recognition, etc.
- Update Employee Handbook
- Create yearly compliance training for all staff and monitor employee training & development
- Monitor the company culture to assess employee engagement and proactively address issues and risks

**Injury Management**
- Oversee Worksafe claims & appeals
- Collaborate to ensure accident/incident investigations are complete
- Monitor Long term medical leave claims

**Capability Building & Leadership**
- Manage and provide guidance, training, direction and coaching at all levels of the organization
- Provide mentoring on best practices
- Guide people managers with career conversations, Development Plans/Career Growth Plans and other development initiatives

This role reports directly to the President and has an opportunity for growth into a more senior position in the future.
