**Responsibilities**:
The Human Resources Manager, will report directly to the Vice President, and work with various departments, including but not limited to; Central Office, Finance & Accounting, Store Operations, Merchandising, etc...
The main responsibilities are:
- Passion for HR, benefits, and
- Duties are broad, varied and may be of a highly confidential and sensitive nature
- Organizes and maintain appropriate reports, files, systems and documentation and actively manage a follow-up system to ensure that work proceeds in a smooth fashion
**Job Duties**:
Human Resources:
- Administer Corporate staff payroll
- Design, Implement, provide and support managers and employees in the areas of performance counseling, employee retention, policy interpretation and implementation, human rights and employment legislation, conflict resolution and legal/contractual requirements
- Identify employee engagement needs and opportunities, leading initiatives where required. Design and implement Engagement Survey and Action Plans
- Design and lead the annual performance management process for assigned client group
- Work with third party consultants, plan administrators, people business partners, Labour Relations and Communications to ensure that all plan members receive well executed plan member program launches, changes, or promotion communications with specific roll out for all employees
- Review, update and create SOPs when needed
- Assist in any investigation, incident or termination meeting
- Support employee engagement initiatives and retention through HR best practices
- Participate on Social Committee and assist with planning and executing events
- Other HR function responsibilities, including but not limited to Recruitment and Training
**Skills and Qualifications**:
- University Degree or Diploma in Human Resources Management is preferred
- Excellent command of the English language, both written and verbally
- CHRP/CHRL designation an asset
- Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to speak conversational Mandarin or Cantonese is preferred
- Experience with Health and Safety
- Experience and knowledge in employment law, benefits, work safe, compensation strategies, labor relations, training and development, and lastly people & culture
