The National Sales Manager for Consumer Health is responsible for delivering revenue and profit targets, developing and executing the sales strategy, and managing both our broker and contract sales partners.

The National Sales Manager will possess the drive, ability to influence, and entrepreneurial spirit to continuously improve upon Avrio Health’s performance. They will provide clear and executable recommendations to the organization to accelerate business growth and they will maintain laser focus on ROI, profitability, and adherence to budgetary targets.

Key Responsibilities:

- Strategic direction, planning and oversight of Consumer Health national sales, working with account, broker and contract sales partners to achieve annual objectives.
- Accountable for profitable sales growth.
- Provide strategic direction to broker and contract sales partners as extensions of the Avrio Health team, ensuring a customer-focused and results driven team.
- Coordinate and manage top-to-top meetings at key retail accounts.
- Collaborate on and negotiate joint business plans.
- Development and execution of sales strategy and plan to deliver short
- and long-term revenue and profit targets.
- Ideate and implement go-to-market strategy.
- Forecast sales targets by account through annual planning process and provide latest estimates at key times throughout the year. Initiate corrective actions to close gaps to plan.
- Comprehensive business analysis and management of all aspects of the assigned portfolio.
- Perform quarterly business reviews with key accounts to ensure optimizing sales plan and leveraging opportunities for account growth.
- Identify and develop new channels/accounts for incremental growth opportunities.
- Develop and implement key account promotional plans.
- Collaborate with Marketing to implement national promotions to drive profitable volume.
- Review and approve broker’s account specific trade promotional activity.
- Inform internal team of customer-specific programs; recommend and implement growth-driving initiatives.
- Capture knowledge of trade activities (competition, trends, performance, etc.) within consumer health and disseminate to team.
- Work with broker to present and list new Consumer Health product launches.
- Work with Marketing and other internal stakeholders to develop a selling story for innovation, leveraging category, consumer, and competitor insights.
- Establish sales expense budget and trade investment targets during annual planning process and adhere to plan.
- Negotiate listing fees and annual trade contracts and ensure within budget.
- Manage trade investment process with broker and Finance to ensure accuracy and adherence to budget.

Qualifications:

- University degree in Business, Marketing or equivalent.
- 10+ years of experience in progressive sales management.
- Consumer Health experience.
- Experience managing national retail accounts with strong key account relationships in Drug, Grocery and Mass.
- Proven ability to deliver incremental sales growth.
- Entrepreneurial and innovative mindset with proven capabilities of implementing new approaches and thinking divergently.
- Ability to foster trust and respect to lead, motivate, collaborate, negotiate and influence internal and external stakeholders.
- Superior executional capabilities.
- Ability to think and operate both strategically and tactically.
- Strong financial acumen.
