**Job Description**:
**WHAT'S THE JOB?**

Dexterra On Demand (DOD) Estimator / Project role is a dual role that leads the client service base quotations at critical Estimating times of the year and oversees projects when the Estimating Department is managing at a good operating pace.
- Review quotation requests from our service technicians on parts and labor to repair HVAC systems and equipment. **Demonstrated experience a must**:

- Review labor hours estimated by the technicians to complete the repairs and contact suppliers to get the equipment or parts cost to determine the estimated cost for our customers.
- Prepare estimate documentation for National Account customers; maintain accurate estimates and obtain acceptance of the work by the client.
- Working with the local Operations team to help them plan and coordinate all parts and material requirements when needed.
- ability to work with other trades within the organization to ensure a team’s success from multi-trade client support.
- Look for optimal suppliers, and order parts, materials, and services for the organization in an efficient and timely manner.
- Contact subcontractors to get an estimate on the work required.
- Manage and handle a high volume of quotes in a face pace environment to meet Strick KPI’s.

Small Projects - when required, will assist with an assigned level of accountability for the overall planning, organization, direction, and control of each project assigned to him/her. He/she successfully completes each of these projects, safely and within time and budgetary constraints to meet the objective of continued and sustainable growth of the Company. Some of the Project management responsibilities include:

- Providing safety leadership to the project team and subcontractors
- Planning, scheduling, and working closely with the Project lead.
- Administration and management of prime contracts quotation submissions.
- Assist with managing project budget and billings.
- Support RFP submissions with the administration of RFIs, Submittals, Change Orders, etc.
- Fostering and maintaining positive relations and communication with clients, the internal operations team, various trades divisions and subcontractors.

**Qualifications**:
**WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?**
- Diploma of college studies in Building Mechanical Systems or diploma in refrigeration. In the absence of a diploma, we will consider equivalent work experience.
- At least 3-5 years of experience working as an estimator and/or buyer with a contractor specializing in air conditioning, refrigeration, heating, or plumbing is a requirement
- Very good attention to detail.
- Ability to work autonomously or in a team in a busy environment
- Very flexible, with strong interpersonal skills to work effectively in a diverse work environment.
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Capable of working under pressure
- Experience with pricing platforms, systems, and programs.
- Diploma of college studies in Building Mechanical Systems, Mechanical Engineering or diploma in refrigeration. In the absence of a diploma, we will consider equivalent work experience.
- Knowledge of equipment manufacturers and specific parts is an asset.
- Experience in gathering pricing from suppliers.
- Experience in compiling accurate pricing.
- Demonstrate the ability to handle stressful situation and meet tight deadlines
