We are in search of a **Receptionist / Administrative Assistant**.
**Responsibilities and Duties**
- Receive calls and give general information to callers, screens and routes calls to concerned department/personnel.
- Greet visitors, staff and others in a professional and courteous manner.
- Receive, sort and distribute daily mail/deliveries
- Order office supplies and keep inventory of stock
- Update calendars and schedule meetings
- Keep updated records of office expenses
- Perform other clerical receptionist duties such as filing, photocopying, transcribing and faxing
**Qualifications and Skills**
**Education**
- University/College degree in the field of immigration, business or in a related field
**Experience**
- Minimum 1 - 2 year of work experience as a Receptionist
**Knowledge, skills and abilities**
- Language Proficiency in English
- Knowledge of Immigration, Refugee and Citizenship laws and regulations
- Competent in using new software’s
- Must be competent at using Microsoft Office with knowledge of Word, Excel and Microsoft Outlook
- Must have excellent client service skills with an aptitude to understand the clients' business and maintain client relationships
- Must have excellent communication skills in English
- Ability to work under pressure
- Effective time-management skills; Must be able to deliver assigned work within given timelines
- Pleasant telephone mannerisms
- Must be detail oriented
- Ability to work well independently and also within a team environment;
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
- Enthusiastic attitude with a desire to learn
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
**Salary**: From $15.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Scarborough, ON M1B 3V4: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
**Education**:
- Secondary School (preferred)
**Experience**:
- Rreceptionist: 1 year (preferred)
- Administrative experience: 1 year (preferred)
