**Position Summary**:
As a member of the Engineering Services team the Reliability & Asset Strategy Specialist plays a key role in the development and sustainment of the Asset reliability programs, such as master data, spare parts analyses, proactive maintenance (PM) development and asset failure data collection. These programs provide for a more reliable plant operating at optimal cost.

**Responsibilities**:

- Reviews Management of Change (MOC) work packages and identifying potential changes to PM and spare parts strategies for all modified assets;
- Implements Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) asset location data changes resulting from MOC’s;
- Facilitates Asset Criticality Assessments with operators and other applicable technical personnel to justify any changes or further optimization to the PM program;
- Reviews original equipment manufacturer (OEM) manuals to distill and understand potential failure modes and proactive maintenance requirements;
- Reviews and understands regulatory (or industry best practice) maintenance requirements for safety and environmentally critical devices;
- Facilitates Failure Modes & Effects Analyses (FMEA/RCM) with maintenance specialists, operators and other applicable technical personnel to justify any changes or further optimization to the PM program;
- Facilitates spare parts assessments with maintenance specialists, inventory analysts and other applicable technical personnel to justify new inventory change requests;
- Updates PM records in the CMMS;
- Reviews equipment failure records for accuracy and works with maintenance and operations to update as required;
- Participates in regular PM program audits;
- Publishes regular reliability reports and KPI’s (e.g. production loss, equipment MTBF) from various reporting tools including Power BI;
- All other duties as assigned.

***Requirements**:

- Understands, creates and maintains a visible commitment to process and personal safety, as well as the safety of others; adheres to NWR’s Core Competencies to drive results and a high performing culture;
- Technical diploma or Red Seal Journeyman Certification;
- 10+ years of experience in an industrial operations or maintenance technical role;
- Working knowledge of asset management principles and best practices including but not limited to: Preventive Maintenance Optimization, Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM), Maintenance Task Analyses and Life Cycle Cost Analyses;
- A ‘learning mindset’; Willing to look at new ways to solve analytical problems;
- Knowledge of document management systems and CMMS;
- Specific knowledge of Maximo, Livelink Content Server would be an asset;
- Ability to manage multiple task assignments in a matrix organization;
- Strong interpersonal and analytical skills;
- Effective communication skills, both in verbal and written;
- Ability to work with deadlines and schedules;
- Delivery of results with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
