**Position Summary**:
Reporting to the Engineering Services Manager, the Asset Integrity Lead is responsible to lead a technical team to ensure that Sturgeon Refinery’s assets (all static mechanical equipment, regulatory and non-regulatory, including pipelines) maintain their integrity, reliability and safe operating condition throughout their optimized lifecycle. This involves developing and implementing asset integrity management programs, including corrosion management, inspection strategy and plans, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, identifying risks and providing guidance on risk management. This position is also responsible to maintain the static mechanical design standards, develop repair plans, perform design improvements and support project work. To achieve this, the Asset Integrity Lead is required to liaise closely with the Chief Inspector, PSM, operations, maintenance/TA, process engineering, projects, SCM and other engineering disciplines within the NWR Sturgeon Refinery team.

**Responsibilities**:

- Leads and develops a team of high performing Asset Integrity professionals to deliver comprehensive asset integrity management plans and contribute to achieving NWRs “goal zero” targets;
- Fosters an environment that encourages ideas to optimize the performance of static equipment and to find innovative solutions to complex technical issues utilizing risk assessment and options analysis processes;
- Owns the Pipeline Integrity Management Plan (PIMP) and is responsible for execution of various program elements;
- Contributes to the content and updates of the Pressure Equipment Integrity Management Program (PEIMP) document and is responsible for execution of various program elements as defined in the PEIMP (ABSA AB-512 Owner-User compliant program);
- Owns the corrosion management systems for all static equipment and piping systems (e.g. corrosion manuals, Integrity Operating Windows (IOWs), cathodic & anodic protection systems);
- Develops and implements asset integrity lifecycle strategies utilizing a Risk Based Inspection (RBI) program, as well as leveraging other risk reduction techniques, that is supported with data analysis;
- Owns the inspection programs to collect and analyze data to monitor asset condition, predict failure/end of life, trigger proactive risk management interventions to ensure fitness for service and maintain regulatory compliance (e.g. TML program, equipment inspection plans, PSV servicing, dead leg management, corrosion under insulation);
- Maintains technical design standards and line classes in accordance with all applicable industry standards/codes (e.g. CSA, NACE, ASME, API);
- Participates with SCM in technical and quality reviews/audits on pressure equipment manufacturers to maintain the Acceptable Manufacturers List (AML):

- Leads technical design team/services for the design, purchase specifications, selection, repair, and alteration of pressure vessels, tanks, piping and relief valves in accordance with applicable codes and standards (e.g. engages “Fitness for Service” assessments, On-stream Leak Enclosures, design & FMOC process);
- Supports project engineering team with current design standards, design input, materials selection, etc.;
- Fulfills “Owners Inspector” duties as defined in the PEIMP program, and other QA functions, to ensure that static equipment, piping components, and insulation are installed, tested and maintained in accordance with all applicable standards and codes (e.g. PSV inspection, hydrotest witness, bolted joint integrity);
