Looking for a fun, reliable, hardworking executive chef/kitchen manager to oversee our catering & restaurant operations. Must have a minimum 3yrs executive chef experience. Chef must be a leader, a team player, must be very well organized, leading other chefs in the preparation of high quality food. Must able to work with mínimal supervision and maintain food & labour costs effectively. Responsible for running BOH at events with offsite kitchens, inventory controls, maintenance scheduling, sanitation controls, seasonal recruitment and special events catering. **Vehicle Required.**
- Oversees back-of-house operations.
- Hires, trains, and manages kitchen staff.
- Sets the staffing schedule.
- Leads pre-shift meetings.
- Develops recipes and menus.
- Determines plating and presentation plans.
- Orders and evaluates the quality of new food.
- Stocks the kitchen with necessary supplies.
- Helps with financial planning and budgeting.
- Handles and resolves customer complaints.
- Makes sure the kitchen staff follows all food safety laws.
- Sets and implements the kitchen policies and procedures.
- Enhancing food quality by creating standards for other kitchen staff members
- Monitoring the prices set on a menu by overseeing and comparing it to the cost of inventory, food orders, and supplies
- Assisting with the creation of seasonal, monthly, or annual menus
- Supervising daily activities of the kitchen staff including Sous Chefs, Specialist Chefs, Cooks, Prep Chefs & Event Chefs
- Running offsite events and weddings, while also ensuring other chef teams are prepared and ready to execute their events
- Ensuring all kitchen equipment is running efficiently and arranging repairs or new parts when required
- Maintaining high sanitation throughout the kitchen and stock areas

**Salary**: From $65,000.00 per year
