**The Opportunity**

Reporting to the Mayor, this role is responsible for providing essential administrative support to the Mayor in their role as the Head of Council. This role involves managing Mayor’s calendar, coordinating meetings and events, maintaining records and documents, and ensuring efficient communication within the office.

As the Administrative Assistant, Mayor & Council Office, you will perform the following duties, including but not limited to:

- Maintain and organize the Mayor’s office including managing schedules, appointment and travel arrangements.
- Prepare and process necessary paperwork, including memos, letters and documents
- Schedule and coordinate meetings, conferences, and events for the mayor, ensuring necessary resources are available
- Manage and maintain official records, documents, and files related to the mayor’s office, ensuring confidentiality and accuracy.
- Attend meetings and provide support, including taking detailed notes, documenting decisions, and following up on action items.

This position offers a wage rate of $29.15 per hour.
