Coordinator, Mayor

**Description**:
**The Opportunity**

Reporting directly to the Manager, Mayor and Council Office this role is responsible for providing administrative support for the development and implementation of public engagement initiatives and the development and coordination of social media and communications for the Mayor and Council Office. As the Coordinator, Mayor & Council Office, you will also perform the following duties, including but not limited to:

- As requested, schedule meetings for Members of Council, including but not limited to meetings with constituents, stakeholders, internal staff, etc.
- Attend to inquiries from Members of Council, including conducting research on requested matters
- Prepare and submit expense claims for Members of Council
- Coordinate Council initiated public relations activities, special events and community engagement initiatives and business events
- Produce engaging and timely social media content and updates on the Mayor’s Social Media platforms
- Provide support and guidance to Councillors on their presence on social media, including the development of templated content and engagement ideas, as needed
- Review, track and report social media analytics
- Assist in the development of marketing and media content and promotional materials
- Liaise with Corporate Communications to coordinate social media and community communications for Members of Council
- Maintain the issues tracking program (Citywide) and act as the point of contact for the Division
- Liaise with staff regarding resident and council responses.

This position offers a salary range of $59,044.34 - $72,358.50 plus a competitive benefit package.
