- The Opportunity- TC Energy is looking to add an #EnergyProblemSolver in Calgary, Alberta to support our efforts in Energy Problem Solving and our daily operations.We are seeking students enrolled in a Bachelor of Commerce/Business specializing in Business Analytics or Bachelor of Science specializing in Data Sciences.We engage our Business Analytics students in the very core of our operations. As a valued member of the team, you’ll do exciting, challenging work, solve real world problems, and make a meaningful impact. You’ll learn about the business and build your professional network by working closely with other skilled people at TC Energy. Every day will enhance your knowledge, skills and passion for what you do.The term length is 12 or 16.What You'll Do-
- Dashboard development (PowerBI) to support internal stakeholders-
- Develop/maintain custom solutions in PowerApp-
- Business process mapping-
- Analyze and manipulate data sets-
- Maintain team SharePoint-
- Participate in preparing and delivering presentation materials for internal stakeholders-
- Maintain and update dashboards, working closely with internal stakeholders on understanding analytics & reporting requirements-
- Support backend data lake ingestion and mapping-
- Support development of data models & dataflows-
- Documentation developmentMinimum Qualifications-
- Actively enrolled in a Bachelor of Commerce/Business specializing in Business Analytics or Bachelor of Science specializing in Data Sciences with at least one semester of education complete-
- Enrollment at an accredited university, and returning to school for at least one semester following your work term-
- Exhibit a safety mindset, in a professional and personal setting-
- Must exhibit the TC Energy corporate values and incorporate them into work activities and initiatives: safety, responsibility, integrity, innovation and collaborationPreferred Qualifications-
- Some experience working with Microsoft Power Platform suite of tools-
- Some experience with AWS tools-
- Some experience programming in Python or SQL-
- Project or schoolwork with demonstrating experience in data analytics or manipulating data sets-
- Strong interpersonal and communicative skills to work efficiently in a collaborative team environment-
- Committed to building and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders-
- Ability to accurately analyze information and deal with ambiguity-
- Experience working in a dynamic and challenging environment, and adaptable to changing priorities-
- Ability to multi-task effectively, with strong organizational and time management skills-
