Scope of the position
The Accounts Payable Technical Advisor will report to the Accounts Payable Manager and is responsible for the accurate and timely processing of all vendors payments.

Key Activities
- Ensuring vendor payments are completed with accuracy and within due dates; this includes having EFT/ cheque runs completed on scheduled days
- Reconciling cheque log on a daily basis
- Importing vendor invoices from various sources, while ensuring that the information received is accurate
- Responding to inquiries in a timely, professional and courteous manner, while ensuring the request is accurately and effectively resolved
- Working with other departments effectively to resolve outstanding issues
- Develop and maintain work instructions for payment and upload processes.
- Proactively identify opportunities to improve process within the department
- Performing other duties as assigned
- Support and assist with inquiries from internal, external and third party
- Support annual Business Services Strategic Planning processes where appropriate

**_Regulatory Compliance: _**

Ensure all payment processing and accounts payable invoices are processed in accordance with regulatory requirements and Chartwell policies and procedures.

**Qualifications**:
**_Experience: _**

3-6 years of professional experience in Accounts Payable in a high-volume environment

Bilingualism in French is an asset

**_Education: _**

Diploma in Business or Accounting or equivalent experience

**_Skills & Abilities: _**

Knowledge of accounting principles

Strong attention to detail

Strong organization skills

Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously

Committed to achieving deadlines

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Experience using Yardi software is a strong and desired asset

Well-developed Microsoft Word and Excel skills
