**The Role: Recruitment Specialist (full-time)**

The Recruitment Specialist is responsible for overseeing and managing full cycle recruitment process and supporting the Onboarding process at Trellis. Specific areas of accountability include overseeing job postings, pre-screens, interviewing with hiring managers, reference checks, closing job postings, and onboarding with a strong focus on a positive employee experience in alignment with the vision, mission, and strategic initiatives of Trellis.

**Key Duties and Responsibilities**

**Recruitment and Onboarding**
- Ensuring CAC Accreditation standards are maintained and tracked regarding interview notes and reference checks are uploaded
- Provide training on strategic initiatives including inclusive hiring practices, interviewing skills, training for new leaders etc.
- Lead new hire orientation and onboarding process with a focus on a positive and engaging employee experience, continuous improvement, and staff retention.
- Develop and manage an efficient and effective process for employee file management including certificates, criminal records check, intervention record check, driving documents and other records as needed.
- Oversee the administration process for all agency required employee screening such as Police Checks and Intervention Record Checks (IRC) including timely follow up with leaders.
- Support leaders with practicum placements and liaise with other non-profit agencies, organizations, and educational institutions to build and maintain community relationships.

**Organizational Development**
- Establish and maintain positive working relationships with employees and leaders, and support with staffing requirements.
- Lead projects to introduce new talent initiatives or improve existing processes by developing proposals and recommendations. E.g., onboarding, job description review
- Develop metrics and analytics to support decision making and organizational change management e.g., training records and evaluation, recruitment metrics

**Department Responsibilities**
- Active support of the Trellis team members in the achievement of strategic goals and objectives
- Efficient and timely completion of projects as assigned
- On-board and train new People Services employees as assigned
- Ensure coverage of absences (e.g., vacation) for department efficiency
- Manage an efficient documentation of department processes as required to ensure department continuity and efficiency

**Knowledge and Skills Expectations**
- Education in a relevant field such as Human Resources, Business
