**GENERAL FUNCTION**:
The HR Generalist plays a vital role within the Human Resources team, providing comprehensive support across key HR functions while ensuring alignment with ISO 9001 standards. This role is responsible for managing day-to-day HR activities, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, compliance, and HR administration, with a focus on maintaining quality and consistency in all processes. The HR Generalist will partner with the HR Manager to implement strategies that align with business objectives, foster a positive work environment, and uphold ISO 9001 principles. Additionally, the HR Generalist will collaborate with the HR Coordinator and HR Intern to ensure seamless HR operations, promote team development, and support continuous improvement initiatives in compliance with ISO 9001 requirements.
**RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- **Employee Relations**:
- Act as a first point of contact for employee inquiries, resolving issues, and providing guidance on HR policies and procedures while adhering to ISO 9001 principles
- Support the HR Manager in managing employee relations issues, conducting investigations, and facilitating conflict resolution with on-site leadership.
- **Recruitment and Onboarding**:
- Lead the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring a smooth and positive experience from offer acceptance to integration into the team.
- Ensure onboarding procedures meet ISO 9001 quality management criteria
- **Performance Management**:
- Assist in the development and implementation of performance management programs.
- Work with managers to provide guidance on setting goals, conducting performance reviews, and addressing performance issues.
- **HR Compliance**:
- Ensure HR records are accurate, up-to-date, and compliant with ISO 9001 standards.
- Ensure compliance with federal, and provincial employment laws and regulations.
- Assist with audits and reporting requirements related to HR compliance and ISO 9001 standards.
- **Training and Development**:
- Maintain records of training in compliance with ISO 9001 documentation requirements.
- Identify training needs and assist in the development and delivery of training programs.
- Support the HR Manager in implementing employee development initiatives.
- **Compensation and Benefits**:
- Work closely with the Payroll Specialist to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing.
- Assist with the administration of employee benefits programs, including open enrollment and benefits communication.
- **HRIS Management**:
- Maintain accurate employee records in the HRIS system, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality.
- Generate HR reports and metrics to support decision-making.
- **HR Projects**:
- Participate in and lead HR projects as assigned by the HR Manager, contributing to the continuous improvement of HR processes and systems.
- Support the standardization of job titles and descriptions, aligning with the company’s HRIS system.
**Education**: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
**Experience**:3-5 years of experience in a Human Resources role, preferably as an HR Generalist. Experience with HRIS systems, HR compliance.
**Skills**:
- Strong knowledge of federal and provincial legislation.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS systems.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
