Join the Sts'its'áp'new̓as Employment & Future Skills Department as an Admin Assistant. This role is a cornerstone in supporting the Training and Trades Centre, ensuring smooth daily operations and providing a welcoming, professional first point of contact for students, staff, and community members.

As an Admin Assistant, you will provide essential administrative support, maintain organized systems, and help coordinate activities that strengthen employment and training opportunities for Squamish Nation members. By supporting both the team and our clients, you’ll contribute to a culturally grounded environment that values language, heritage, and personal growth.

**What You’ll Do**:

- Assist adult learners individually or in small groups with assignments and reinforce learning and retention concepts alongside instructors.
- Support instructor with teaching strategies.
- Works as part of a multi-disciplinary team with instructors, counselors, administrators and participates in the planning and organizing of programs.
- Assists in the development and implementation of specific academic/social interventions for students.
- Work with tutors to identify, develop and assist adult learners through educational barriers.
- Develop and maintain resource library for students to use during their program.
- Assist instructors with teaching and non-instructional tasks.
- Support adult learners with accessibility needs through various partnerships.

**What We’re Looking For**:

- Diploma in Education, counselling, psychology and sociology or in a related/relevant field preferred.
- Proven experience in administrative or office support roles.
- Strong reception, office administration, and customer service background.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and comfort with spreadsheets.
- Experience with databases.
- Adaptable communication style with strong interpersonal skills.
- Organized, resourceful, and able to manage multiple priorities.
- Cultural humility and respect for Sḵwx̱wú7mesh values, sovereignty, and self-determination.
- Knowledge of long-term financial planning and capital budgeting an asset.

**Salary**: $44,000 - $61,500
