Westhills Equine Veterinary Services is located 10 minutes west of Stony Plain, Alberta, Canada (30 minutes west of Edmonton) and easily accessed off TransCanada Highway 16 on Range Road 25. You must have a driver’s license and a reliable vehicle as we are not on a bus route.

**Reporting to the Practice Manager, the Hospital Assistant/Client Care team member provides a communication link between the hospital team and the client care team, creating an efficient flow within the clinic. To start, you will work two days per week as a Hospital Assistant and two days per week in Client Care.**

**As a Hospital Assistant you will, in part**:

- Clean the clinic stalls to remove dirty bedding in the AM.
- Fees and water clinic patients.
- Prepare patients for discharge.
- Perform lab work and prepare bloodwork for the courier.
- Clean up after clinic appointments.
- Clean and store equipment.
- Support RVTs and Vet Assistants with appointments.
- Prepare prescriptions and pick up supplies as needed for Client Care.
- Stock clinic supplies.
- ++

**As a Client Care team member you will, in part**:

- Answer phones.
- Greet clients in person and direct them appropriately.
- Share service, product and promotion information.
- Schedule doctor appointments.
- Provide estimates for routine services.
- Accurately prepare invoices.
- Accept payments.
- Prepare shipments.
- Look after front-end hospitality - coffee, snacks, clean and tidy during the day.

**What We’re Looking For**
- **REQUIRED: Must have horse-handling experience.** Must be able to work around horses safely and comfortably.
- ASSET: Client service experience.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills (in English), with the ability to facilitate good flow between Client Care and the Clinic.
- A team-oriented mindset and a commitment to excellence in equine care.

Pay: From $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Schedule:

- 10 hour shift
- Day shift
- No weekends
