We seek excellent students, faculty, and staff to join us in what has become known as the "Western Experience" - an opportunity to contribute to a better world through the development of new knowledge, new abilities, new connections, and new ways to make a difference. **About Us**: The Faculty of Health Sciences ((FHS) is a large, diverse, and comprehensive unit, comprised of six Schools (Nursing, Kinesiology, Health Studies, Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy and Communication Sciences and Disorders), a large Interdisciplinary Graduate Program in Health and Rehabilitation Sciences and four Research Centres. The faculty has more than 3,200 undergraduate students and more than 800 graduate students (200 PhD students). **Responsibilities**: The Program Coordinator (Advanced Health Programs) provides program coordination and leaderships for the Advanced Health Care Practice (AHCP) and Masters of Nursing (MN) programs in supporting the effective functioning and execution of these graduate programs. The Program Coordinator will primarily support the execution of capstone projects, as part of the AHCP and Master of Health Sciences program, and the execution of the knowledge synthesis course as part of the Master of Nursing program. The Program Coordinator will also liaise with students, mentors, and external partners to ensure administrative processes, memorandums of understanding and student / project placement requirements are in place. Working closely with the Assistant Dean, Advanced Programs in Health, Field Leaders and Faculty Leaders and the Program Coordinator will support the program goals and objectives including ensuring effective student recruitment processes are in place, liaising and supporting students through the program milestones and supporting faculty and instructors through the program delivery, including organizational support for residencies, research conferences and other associated events. **Qualifications**: - Education: - Undergraduate Degree in a related discipline - Undergraduate degree in a health care related field preferred - Experience: - 3 years’ experience providing administrative support and coordination in a complex organization - Experience working with financial budgets with the ability to ensure expenditures are within allotments and make modifications as appropriate - Previous experience in a higher education institution preferred - Experience with project management and schedule coordination preferred - Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: - Verbal communication skills to clearly express ideas in an objective manner, and adapt communication style to suit the situation and audience - Interpersonal skills that build positive and strong relationships at all levels of the organization - Demonstrated ability take initiative, to work independently and follow through on work assignments - Competency to maintain confidentiality and treat sensitive information with discretion - Ability to process information with a high degree of accuracy, and follow formal business practices with high attention to detail - Ability to prioritize and manage multiple and diverse tasks and to quickly re-allocate resources and adjust priorities in response to unexpected events or changing circumstances - Professional manner, tact, diplomacy and discretion in dealing with students, colleagues, faculty, leadership and external stakeholders - Project management skills to champion a project from conception to completion, and to ensure that team roles are clear, milestones are communicated and deadlines are met - A well-defined sense of diplomacy including solid negotiation, facilitation, and conflict resolution skills - Judgement, analytical and problem-solving skills with a consultative and collaborative approach to addressing issues and opportunities - Intermediate computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite **Western Values Diversity**: **Please Note**: We thank all applicants for their interest; however, only those chosen for an interview will be contacted.
