**Volunteer Director of Events & Fundraising**

Organization: Nova Scotia Doula Association (NSDA)

Type: Volunteer Role

Location: Remote within Nova Scotia (occasional in-person participation may be required)

About the Role:
The Director of Events & Fundraising plays a key role in ensuring NSDA can continue to deliver high-quality programs and initiatives. You will take the lead on event planning, donor relations, and fundraising campaigns to help sustain and grow the association’s work. This role is ideal for someone who is organized, creative, and enjoys building community through events and fundraising initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

- Manage & oversee fundraising campaigns/initiatives. Cultivate long-term relationships with donors and stakeholders to ensure sustained support. Research and schedule events. Lead the strategy, planning, and execution of events. Create and coordinate an events committee for larger initiatives. Oversee event design, logistics, and vendor coordination. Ensure seamless execution of events and achievement of organizational goals. Lead fundraising strategy and secure financial support through grants, donations, and sponsorships. Build relationships with donors, sponsors, and partners. Provide leadership, creative vision, and attention to detail to drive impactful events.

- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Experience with event planning and/or fundraising (nonprofit experience an asset)
- Ability to collaborate with a team and motivate volunteers
- Creativity, reliability, and a passion for NSDA’s mission.

Pay: $0.25 per year
