JOB SUMMARY KEY RESPONSIBILITIES The objective of the Administrative Assistant is to provide broad administrative support to the Brenda Strafford Foundation. One of the key responsibilities for this position is to manage the written resources for The Foundation. Reporting to the COO and the VP of People, Culture and belonging, the Administrative Assistant manages and prioritizes significant numbers or correspondence, coordinates a number of organizational meetings, or events.

As a representative of the Brenda Strafford Foundation, the person in this position is an active participant in the Foundation’s efforts to deliver a person-centered approach, promote a culture of safety. Furthermore, this role is also accountable to uphold the Mission, Vision and Values and the achievement of the strategic priorities of The Foundation. This position is accountable for ethical practice and the understanding of ethical behaviour and reporting as defined by The Brenda Strafford Foundation’s policy and process.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide daily support to the office of the COO and other members of the executive as required.

Oversee the significant and effective office management first hand of the COO office. Draft and/or review correspondence ensuring a high level of quality that reflects positively on The Brenda Strafford Foundation.

Ensure that select legislation and resulting correspondence documents are comprehensively completed in a timely manner. Monitors a current and comprehensive electronic and documents filing system.

Provides contract administration for select contracts including processes for timely contract renewal. Research and provide information to Management on matters when required.

Ensure that information flows into, and out of the COO office to facilitate timely action and decision making. Interface with other Foundation personnel and external stakeholders as required.

Conducts all interactions in a positive, service oriented manner that reflects well on The Foundation.

Produces documents, lists, reports, records, memoranda, letters or other assignments. Check and proof read material for accuracy.

The Administrative Assistant will have access to confidential information that must be protected to maintain a high level of confidentiality.

Perform other related duties as may be assigned by the COO and the VP of People, Culture and Belonging.

**QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE**

**Education**: An administrative secretarial education and progressive administrative experience.

**Experience**: Possess excellent interpersonal, written and communication skills.

Strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks Resourceful, possess a strong work ethic, and have good time management skills.

Demonstrated management and leadership skills.

Previous administrative assistant experience in a fast-paced environment an asset;
Excellent written and verbal English communication;
Strong attention to detail;
Effective inter-personal, organizational, and time management skills

Ability to work independently

**Salary**: $51,731.14-$60,446.16 per year
