**What you will be doing**
- Provide balanced support to Brampton Facility & Madill Distribution Centre, in collaboration with site teams.
- Works collaboratively with the Health & Safety Manager, Mississauga, Plant 6, Hatching and Catching Services.
- Ensure compliance with Maple Lodge Farms (MLF) policies, standards, and legislated requirements.
- Development and maintenance of training programs.
- Provide a highly visible presence in all departments and leadership to site teams.
- Provide reports and statistical information to management.
- Develops and implements strategies that create ‘safety engagement’ amongst employees and the plant management team.
- Investigates injuries, incidents, near misses and supports efforts to identify root cause.
- Supports the implementation of Safety Excellence Program Initiatives.
- Provides and/or organizes HS training for employees.
- Provides Contractor Management support through Contractor Compliance and collaborates with operations to reduce risk on contractor related work.
- Collaborate with operations to resolve any machine deficiencies identified through the completion of Pre
- Start engineering reviews.
- Supports Environmental and Sustainability Initiatives in collaboration with the Senior Manager Environment & Sustainability.
- Provides leadership and direction to Health & Safety Supervisor(s) Specialist(s), Coordinator(s) and Administrator(s).
- Collaborates with the HS team to develop and maintain continuous improvement initiatives.
- Collaborates with operations to achieve health and safety goals.

**What you will bring**
- Minimum 5-10 years’ progressive Health and Safety experience in a similar unionized environment.
- Strong business acumen with ability to plan and execute.
- People skills to build strong working relationships.
- Strong collaboration skills & team player.
- General Computer Skills (e.g., MS Office).
- University Degree or College Diploma in Health & Safety or other relevant experience, **must have**.
- Safety Designation: CRSP, CHSC, CSP or equivalent, **must have.**
