**About the Role**:
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented **Environmental/Quality Control Coordinator** to support our construction project teams. This dual-role position plays a critical part in ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and quality standards across all phases of construction. You will work closely with project staff, subcontractors, consultants, and regulatory bodies to uphold best practices and promote continuous improvement in both environmental management and quality assurance.

**Key Responsibilities: Environmental Coordination**:

- Develop, implement, and monitor Site-Specific Environmental Plans.
- Ensure compliance with environmental legislation, permits, and contract requirements.
- Coordinate on-site environmental activities such as soil removal, dewatering, and waste management.
- Act as a liaison with environmental authorities, consultants, and third-party inspectors.
- Support incident investigations and ensure proper documentation and reporting.
- Perform weekly inspections and assist with third-party audits.
- Attend safety and trade committee meetings as required.

**Quality Control Coordination**:

- Develop and manage project-specific Construction Quality Management Plans and ITPs (Inspection & Test Plans).
- Distribute and maintain weekly ITP Look-Ahead Schedules.
- Monitor subcontractor compliance with quality requirements and specifications.
- Conduct field inspections and coordinate consultant reviews.
- Manage Non-Conformance Reports and corrective action processes, including root cause analysis.
- Review third-party testing results and assess subcontractor/supplier quality documentation.
- Maintain detailed and organized quality records and contribute to company-wide quality initiatives.

**Qualifications**:

- Post-secondary education in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years construction-related experience, with at least 2 years in QA/QC and/or Environmental roles.
- Experience in rail or civil infrastructure projects is an asset.

**Skills & Competencies**:

- Strong knowledge of environmental regulations, quality standards, and construction practices.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to interpret technical documents, specifications, and plans.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Highly organized with attention to detail and documentation.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Capable of working effectively in a dynamic site environment and coordinating with multidisciplinary teams.

**Working Conditions**:

- Primary work on active construction sites with occasional office visits or inter-site travel.
- Must wear PPE at all times on site.
- Exposure to outdoor weather and construction conditions.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $65,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
