Remote work agreements will also be considered for individuals based out of southeastern Saskatchewan.Key ResponsibilitiesReclamation and Remediation Programs:Coordinate and execute Phase 2 ESA’s, remediations and reclamation projectsDevelop and implement field plans for the above projectsCompile various technical documents including Phase 2 ESA reports, remediation reports, and regulatory closure applicationsCoordinate and execute site visits, vegetation assessments, Detailed Site Assessments (DSAs), Landowner Acknowledgements Forms (LAFs), and Acknowledgement of Reclamation (AOR) documentsSoil and Groundwater Monitoring Programs:Coordinate and execute Phase 2 ESA’s, remediations and reclamation projectsDevelop and implement field plans for the above projectsCompile various technical documents including Phase 2 ESA reports, remediation reports, and regulatory closure applicationsCoordinate and execute site visits, vegetation assessments, Detailed Site Assessments (DSAs), Landowner Acknowledgements Forms (LAFs), and Acknowledgement of Reclamation (AOR) documentsSpill Remediation:Execute assessment and remediation activities associated with spill programs in multiple ecosite types (forested, agricultural, wetlands, open water bodies, etc)Support client personnel with containment and recovery operations on select projectsPrepare technical reports, plans and client documentsAll programs require a strong ability to:Execute assessment and remediation activities associated with spill programs in multiple ecosite types (forested, agricultural, wetlands, open water bodies, etc.)Support client personnel with containment and recovery operations on select projectsPrepare technical reports, plans and client documentsCollaborate with Project Managers with the oversight of client budgets, tracking project status, and making recommendations to progress sites towards regulatory closureWork closely with interdisciplinary groups (Technical Resource Group, Data Management Group, Spill Group, Biophysical Group, and Vegetation Group) to successfully execute client projects and programs.Provide support to senior staff as requiredWork closely and develop relationships with landowners, client operations, government regulatory personnel, and other stakeholdersProvide mentorship, support, and training to junior staffImplement corporate and client safety programsEnsure that project requirements are met in a timely and effective mannerQualificationsA minimum of 3 to 9 years of consulting experience related to remediation, reclamation, or environmental scienceTechnical Diploma or University Degree in environmental science or related disciplineExperience with the utilization of the Saskatchewan upstream petroleum site soil remediation criteriaUnderstanding and working knowledge of the upstream oil and gas regulatory requirements in SaskatchewanExperience in the execution and supervision of Phase 2 ESAs and remediation projects in SaskatchewanStrong vegetation identification and soil characterization skillsWillingness to travel and be in the field as dictated by project requirementsExcellent communication, organizational, computer, and problem-solving skillsTechnical report writing skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office SuiteGood physical health and ability to work outdoors in varying conditionsSelf-motivated and have a willingness to succeed within a team environmentHighly organized and have the ability to prioritize multiple tasksValid driver’s licensePreference will be given to candidates with three to nine years of directly related experience in the upstream oil and gas industry. Previous experience with managing various assessment, reclamation, and remediation projects will also be considered an asset.
