Reporting to the Director, Administration, this newly created stand-alone position of Systems Administrator (Level 2) will work harmoniously and in conjunction with our Third Party (3rd) IT Service Providers and will be responsible for an assortment of general IT duties including but not limited to provisioning, installation/configuration, maintenance of systems hardware and software and related infrastructure, ensures that system hardware, operating systems, software systems, and related procedures adhere to organizational values, enabling staff and customers to collaborate with the company effectively and efficiently.

Additional Responsibilities
- Installing and configuring hardware and software components to ensure usability for end-user workstations and servers
- Contribute to and maintain departmental standards for deployment, operations, and support
- Provide end-user support, including troubleshooting hardware and software issues (both remote and onsite users)
- Be the main contact for our 3rd Party IT Partners; track open tickets and spending
- Work with business users to improve internal efficiencies by leveraging automation tools such as Power BI, Flow, SharePoint Online
- Provide input into the system and process improvements, along with technology innovations
- Assist with projects from time to time for Information Technology deployment including pulling cable, cable terminations, and new IT closet installation and configuration
- Repairing or replacing damaged or non-functional hardware
- Ensuring backup protocols, security measures, incident and problem response and system monitoring is carried out
- Oversee the deployment of OS patches, firmware, bios upgrades on a regular basis
- Configure or add new services as necessary
- Perform ongoing performance tuning and complete upgrades as required
- Performing tests and evaluations on operating system upgrades, new software, and new hardware for an end user deployment
- Other duties as assigned
**Requirements**:

- 3+ years’ hands-on experience deploying and supporting Microsoft 365 and Azure cloud technologies
- 3+ years’ hands-on experience setting up and configuring network devices, e.g., NetGear switches, SonicWall firewalls, Ubiquiti wireless routers and access points, NAS appliances
- Completion of Post-Secondary IT Training and familiarity with the ITIL Foundations service lifecycle, including service delivery, service design, service transition, service operations, and continual improvement
- Knowledge of TCP/IP networking protocols above basic troubleshooting level
- Familiarity with network packet capture and analysis techniques is an asset
- Proven ability to use PowerShell scripting to automate routine tasks
- Experience implementing IT Security best practices, e.g., anti-spam, anti-phishing, anti-malware protection; multi-factor authentication; digital certificates; intrusion detection and prevention
- Strong knowledge of Cyber Security protocols and best practices
- Strong knowledge of M365 platform (SPO, Teams, OneDrive etc.)
- Experience with Microsoft Windows server technologies operating systems, DNS and Active Directory
- Thorough understanding of desktop operating system, and network printer support, mobile device support (i.e. tablets, phones, mobile computers)
Job will be based out of Etobicoke, however, must be able and willing to commute to other office locations as needed; currently Toronto, Hamilton, Oakville, and virtually support an office in Calgary.
