**Salary**: Pay band G, (starting) $31.48 (max) $36.48

**What you will do**:
Reporting to the SWEL Director of Operations, the SWEL Systems Specialist coordinates software support, maintenance, and access to technology systems within Student Wellness and Equitable Learning, including Clockwork, PS Suites, RegisterBlast, and Advocate.

The Specialist oversees the operations, development, and maintenance of client services software used within SWEL, working closely with other service area managers. Responsibilities include leading upgrades, new releases, and module expansions. They collaborate with central and local system administrators to ensure optimal system performance and a quality user experience.

As the main point of contact for troubleshooting system errors, the Specialist develops and implements new functionalities, reviews new releases, monitors user input, and recommends improvements to enhance user experience and data accuracy.

The Specialist designs, implements and organizes training modules for all relevant user groups, including staff, faculty, students, and external users such as health professionals. They respond to new business requirements, updates, and system enhancements, supporting the deployment and development of client-management software platforms.

The Specialist assists staff with system troubleshooting and training on forms and processes, continuously creating new training and system documentation. They work closely with the Senior Manager to identify new software solutions to meet service area needs.

Additionally, the Specialist supports the research, sourcing, and implementation of new technologies within Student Wellness and Equitable Learning, in collaboration with the Manager of Student Systems and Process Integration within Student Success & Engagement.

**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Technology System Administration, Training, and Security
- Overseeing ongoing administration, upgrades, and support for departmental employees.
- Ensuring expert-level functional system support for Student Wellness and Equitable Learning clinical and administrative staff.
- Administering, securing, and providing expert support for various systems.
- Coordinating first-tier technical support for computer-related issues in SWEL venues.
- Managing user experience, sustaining relationships with stakeholders, and leading systems reporting.
- Performing technology system administration, including Outlook, Banner, Teams, PS Suites, RegisterBlast, Clockworks, and future software databases.

**Project Management and Implementation**
- Project managing the implementation and installation of version upgrades, new systems, or cloud versions of software.
- Planning, testing, and executing software upgrades while minimizing impact on users.
- Modifying systems based on user feedback, customizing software, and ensuring confidentiality and data security.

**Maintenance**
- Maintaining test environments or test cases for trialing new versions and gathering feedback.
- Handling staff laptop setup, troubleshooting, and other assigned duties.
- Proactively addressing connectivity issues and notifying management of potential issues or breaches.
- Performing other duties as assigned.

**Training and Documentation**
- Developing and maintaining training materials for departmental systems.
- Collaborating with system users to develop training and training documents around best practices.
- Recommending technical process improvements for efficiency, user experience, and data security.
- Developing continuous training and documentation for all Student Wellness and Equitable Learning Systems.

**What you bring to the role**

**Education**
- Bachelor's degree required in Computer Science, computer technology, or computer engineering.
- Master’s in computer science preferred.
- Project Management Certification preferred

**Skills**
- 3-5 years of experience in database
