**Accounts Payable Specialist**

Our Accounts Payable Specialist will report to the VP, Finance and will be responsible to help drive the Finance Team targets in providing financial oversight for a commercial real estate office portfolio in excess of 30 buildings and 3 million sq.ft while nurturing and maintaining collaborative working relationships within KRP as well as with our external partners. Our Accounts Payable Specialist will actively participate with a hands-on approach ensuring accuracy, while following KRP’s internal controls policies and procedures.

**General Responsibilities**:

- Respond to external and internal parties regarding all aspects of the accounts payable process
- Verify the accuracy of vendor invoices and confirm that the correct general ledger account codes are used
- Distribute payments to suppliers and employees
- Review automatic payments to ensure correct coding and authorization as well as sufficient contracts and documentation
- Effectively collaborate interdepartmentally to provide KRP vendors with the highest level of customer service possible
- Maintain safe and healthy work environment following and enforcing the KRP Safety Policy program and procedures
- Complete any other duties as requested or required from time to time
- Continuously strive to live by the KRP Values and Mission while promoting our Brand.

**Qualifications & Attributes**:

- Degree or diploma in accounting with relevant work experience;
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team with clients, vendors and KRP team members;
- Strong problem-solving skills;
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills;
- Contributes to a culture and environment that is open and respectful;
- Strong computer literacy and proficient in the Microsoft 365 suite;
- Yardi experience is an asset;
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment;
- Self-motivated, creative and innovative;
- Maintain safe and healthy work environment following and enforcing the KRP Safety Policy program and procedures;
