**Office Administrator Permanent part time position.**
We are seeking a part time Office Administrator for a small/medium sized home-based accounting firm in Ottawa, Ontario (Kanata South)
The position is for 4 days a week. Monday to Thursday 9 AM to 4:30 PM, (paid lunch break per shift) This is a permanent part time position. We are very flexible with work hours.
Starting wage is 20.00 per hour with an hourly increase after 3 months.
We see the office administrator as a valuable member of the overall team and look to her/him to be a positive active contributor to the continued success of the business.
The job responsibilities cover a broad spectrum from maintaining the basic tidiness of the office to managing multiple files, to regular client contact. Training will be provided.
They include but are not limited to:
- Accountants payable
- Collections and invoicing
- Maintaining filing systems/ setting up new files
- Typing of office correspondences
- Preparing outgoing mail
- Ordering office supplies
- Maintaining back ups of office systems data bases
- Greeting clients at door and by phone
- Maintaining office calendar for appointments
- Maintaining some multimedia such as Twitter & Facebook
**Job qualifications include but are not limit to**:
- Minimum Grade 12 Diploma or higher
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, written and verbal
- Intermediate MS Office Skills
- Word, Excel, and Outlook
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong Organizational skills
- Ability to be adaptable and perform multi tasking
Must have open availability for working extra hours during the months of April for the Canada Revenue Agency Tax filing deadline.
Any knowledge of accounting software such as CaseWare, QuickBooks or Sage 50 is an asset.
Any Bookkeeping experience would be an asset.

Flexibility to manage competing demands from the office manager and the owner of the firm.
Eagerness to learn and grow professionally.
Our accounting firm offices are set up professionally in a private home for several years and we strive to have a pleasant place of work, for both employees and for our clients.
