**Division**: Development, Nelvana
**Work Status**: 1 year contract
**Location**: Corus Quay, Toronto, ON. Option for combination of onsite and remote/work from home.
**About the Role**:
You will work as the day-to-day administrative support for Nelvana’s growing Development team. You will assist in coordinating the team operations, and facilitate the development process from optioning through to preproduction. The role will report to Senior Manager, Development.
**You'll be working on things like**:
- Scheduling meetings, tracking/archiving creative materials & notes, supporting the development process for multiple IP’s from optioning through to pre-production
- Facilitating communications with external stakeholders/studios
- Coordinating with external talent and their representatives
- Maintaining up-to-date development materials and records on a centralized system
- Assisting producers in the coordination of development demos/mood reels
- Taking meeting notes, building communication distribution lists, and circulating information
- Organizing the preparation of pitch materials, building PowerPoint decks, and responsible for maintaining the department slate deck status document
- Liaising between various internal departments including finance, legal, business affairs, marketing, and production etc. to troubleshoot challenges
- Work alongside accounting to track invoices and payments
- Completing competitive project analysis and industry research as requested
- Assisting with various studio initiatives and industry events
- Other tasks, as required
**If you have the following we want to hear from you**:
- Experience in animation production and/or live action production an asset
- Corporate administrative experience an asset
- Post-secondary education in production/film/children’s media studies preferred
- Proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, and Adobe required
- Exceptionally organized with time management skills
- Excellent communication and written skills
- Ability to professionally handle sensitive and confidential materials
- The ability to multi-task and prioritize in fast-paced environment
- Self-starter able to thrive both independently and as part of a team
- Strong creative instincts and a passion for kids content
