**Purpose**

The HR Assistant is responsible for providing support to the HR & Safety manager with day-to-day tasks in recruitment, onboarding, and administration. This role will also provide support regarding research for HR and Safety related topics, drafting correspondence, and benefits administration.

**Responsibilities**:
**Recruitment and Onboarding**:

- Facilitate the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring a smooth transition into the organization.

**Employee Relations**:

- Address employee inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally.
- Assist in the resolution of workplace issues, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.

**HR Documentation**:

- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
- Prepare HR-related reports and documentation as needed.

**Benefits Administration**:

- Support the administration of employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other benefits.
- Assist employees with benefit-related inquiries and processes.

**Training and Development**:

- Coordinate training sessions and development programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge.
- Work with department managers to identify training needs and implement relevant programs.

**Compliance**:

- Stay informed about relevant labor and safety laws and regulations, ensuring the company's compliance.
- Assist in conducting internal audits to assess compliance with HR policies and procedures.

**Qualifications**:

- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Human Resources and Safety role, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
- Solid understanding of HR principles, practices, and legal regulations.
- Solid understanding of Safety programs, practices, and legal regulations.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.

**Salary**: $45,000.00-$55,000.00 per year
