You’ll be the driving force behind fostering a positive employee experience while owning HR operations, compliance, and culture-building initiatives.

If you're highly organized, approachable, and passionate about shaping how people experience work—and you're ready to handle both the heart and the hard parts of HR—we want to hear from you.

**What We Do**

At Collabware, our mission is to free organizations from information chaos. We provide intelligent information management solutions and services that focus on transparency, collaboration, and security. Our People & Culture team supports this mission by creating a thriving, people-first workplace where employees feel valued, supported, and aligned. You’ll work closely with leadership, including the CEO, and be a trusted advisor on both strategic and sensitive HR matters.

Our culture is grounded in five core values:
**Think Big**, **Make It Happen**, **Embrace and Drive Change**, **Passion for Customer Success**, and **Grow Together**.

**The Responsibilities**

**Think Big**: You're not just managing HR—you’re building a better employee experience. You'll shape programs and policies that support a scalable, values-aligned culture and help us grow with intention.

**Embrace and Drive Change**: HR at Collabware isn’t static. You'll continuously refine policies, programs, and compliance practices to keep pace with growth, employee needs, and employment law updates.

**Grow Together**: Through one-on-ones, coaching, and mentoring, you’ll support employees and managers in building rewarding careers. You’ll drive engagement, learning, and performance development to help everyone level up.

**Make It Happen**: From advising managers on policy and legal implications to leading investigations, you handle the hard stuff with professionalism, empathy, and diligence. You ensure our people ops run smoothly and compliantly every day.

**Passion for Customer Success**: Our people power our product—and our product powers our customers. You'll ensure employees are connected, engaged, and empowered to deliver their best work.

**The Actions**
- Define, communicate, and uphold HR policies and procedures aligned to employment law and company values
- Ensure compliance with employment standards, and lead or support investigations into workplace issues
- Manage full-cycle recruitment and onboarding, ensuring clarity, connection, and quality in every new hire experience
- Maintain and safeguard accurate employee records and job-related data
- Conduct regular check-ins, one-on-ones, and coaching conversations
- Mentor and guide managers in interviewing, hiring, performance reviews, conflict resolution, and terminations
- Serve as a trusted advisor on employee relations, workplace investigations, and HR policy interpretation
- Champion culture-building programs and lead initiatives that engage and retain employees
- Coordinate management and compliance training programs
- Administer employee benefits programs (health, dental, vision, vacation, leaves, and more)
- Conduct exit interviews and manage offboarding with empathy and insight
- Respond to HR inquiries with clarity, discretion, and professionalism
- Update HR policies to reflect changes in employment law and best practices

**Key Skills**
- Exceptional interpersonal, written, and verbal communication
- Trusted, diplomatic, and able to handle sensitive matters with discretion
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Deep knowledge of Canadian employment standards and human rights legislation
- Proactive mindset, with a drive to improve processes and support people
- Respected as a reliable advisor and collaborator across teams

**Experience and Qualifications**
