This role requires local residency in the Lower Mainland. While the position is largely remote, occasional in-office presence is required to support onboarding and collaboration.
Hours:
The required working hours for this role are 9:00am-5:00pm Pacific time, regardless of your location.

We are a digital advertising agency with over 18 years of experience developing digital experiences for entertainment brands with a focus on gaming, toys, and collectibles. We work with some of the largest entertainment brands in the world to engage audiences and fans and provide results for our clients.
As part of our Operations team, the People & Culture Manager plays a vital, hands-on role in supporting the People & Culture (P&C) function within the organization. You will be involved in a broad range of P&C tasks, including talent acquisition, onboarding, HRIS management, policy and procedure management and colleague wellbeing and development.
What You'll Do
The People & Culture Manager is responsible for leading and executing all People & Culture initiatives. This role partners closely with leadership and managers to build a strong, inclusive and high-performing workplace that supports both creative excellence and business growth.
As a key member of the Operations team, the People & Culture Manager oversees the full employee lifecycle — from recruitment and onboarding through development, engagement and offboarding — while ensuring compliance, consistency and a positive employee experience.
Responsibilities
Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning
- Lead and manage the end-to-end hiring process, including role scoping, job descriptions, sourcing, interviewing and offer management.
- Partner with hiring managers to assess resourcing needs and ensure alignment with agency goals, culture and project demands.
- Maintain hiring guidelines, interview templates and approval processes.
Employee Experience & Engagement
- Design and deliver a consistent and engaging onboarding experience for new hires.
- Support our current workplace culture by leading initiatives such as holiday celebrations, volunteer opportunities, and other curated programs.
- Lead employee engagement initiatives, feedback processes and surveys.
- Manage performance review cycles and ongoing feedback processes.
- Support managers with goal-setting, performance conversations, coaching and development plans.
- Partner with leadership on career progression frameworks.
Policies, Compliance & Employee Relations
- Develop, implement, and maintain HR policies, procedures and the employee handbook.
- Ensure compliance with employment standards, labour laws and workplace regulations.
- Manage employee relations matters, including conflict resolution, investigations and disciplinary processes, with discretion and fairness.
- Oversee leave management, accommodations and return-to-work processes.
- Participate and lead our bi-weekly leadership meetings.
Compensation
- Support compensation benchmarking and salary reviews.
- Maintain accurate employee records and HR systems.
- Maintain up to date employment agreements
Skills and proficiencies
- 5+ years of progressive HR experience managing the full employee lifecycle, ideally within a creative or digital agency.
- Post-secondary education in human resources, business, or a related field; HR certification (CPHR, SHRM-CP) preferred.
- Strong knowledge of BC employment legislation and HR best practices, including employee engagement, performance management and DEI.
- Experience supporting hybrid or remote teams.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and conflict-resolution skills, with strong technical writing ability and attention to detail.
- Proven ability to handle highly confidential and sensitive information with professional judgment.
- Experienced in leading manager training programs and designing individual development plans.
- Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution.
- Familiarity with the HiBob HR platform is a strong asset.
Security
Successful candidates will have experience in managing sensitive information, underscored by a clear understanding of and adherence to confidentiality and data protection principles.
Salary Range
Our pay range is $85,000 - $105,000 CAD at the time of this posting. Within the range, individual pay is determined by factors such as market location, job-related skills, relevant experience, education and/or training. The upper end of the range is typically reserved for candidates with demonstrated expertise that is above job requirements or who bring exceptional directly transferable experience.
