**Overview**
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Bakery Assistant to join our vibrant bakery team. This role offers an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about food preparation, baking, and customer service. The Bakery Assistant will support daily bakery operations, assist with food handling, and contribute to creating high-quality baked goods in a fast-paced environment. Prior experience in the food industry, especially in baking or kitchen settings, is highly valued. This position is ideal for someone eager to develop their culinary skills and gain hands-on experience in a professional bakery setting.

**Duties**
- Assist with food preparation including mixing, measuring, and assembling ingredients for baked goods
- Support baking processes such as cake decorating, frosting, and finishing touches on desserts
- Ensure all baked items meet quality standards and presentation requirements
- Package baked products efficiently for sale or delivery while maintaining food safety standards
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and work areas in compliance with health regulations
- Handle food safely by following proper food handling procedures and sanitation practices
- Assist customers with selections, answer questions about products, and provide excellent customer service
- Restock supplies and ingredients as needed to ensure smooth bakery operations
- Support the team during busy hours by performing various tasks related to food preparation and packaging

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience in a bakery, restaurant, or food service environment is preferred
- Skills in cake decorating, food preparation, and baking are highly desirable
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor
- Kitchen experience including food industry knowledge is a plus
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks such as packaging and decorating
- Willingness to learn new techniques related to baking and food presentation
