**Job Type**: Permanent, Full-time

**Hours (Days)**: 5:15pm - 2:30am (flexibility as needed), Monday - Friday, Weekends as needed

**Work Location**: Onsite (Milton, ON)

**Hourly Rate**: $19.72

**What You'll Be Doing**

  • Verify specifications on beginning of runs and conduct periodic checks throughout the shift using proper documentation.
  • Ensure food safety compliance and specified quality parameters are met in each run.
  • Ensure line and area paperwork is completed accurately.
  • Ensure food and personal safety hazards are corrected quickly and effectively to meet company and legislative requirements.
  • Prompt resolution and follow through on issues and escalate when required.
  • Operate cartoner layouts.
  • Operate shrink wrap and flow wrap and troubleshoot minor issues.
  • Complete a metal detector or X-ray check.
  • Understand how to setup data code on the cartoner.
  • Print outer labels.
  • Run various Packaging lines and complete a changeover with mínimal support.
  • Complete Skid Pulling.
  • Train other Junior Packaging Specialists and General Labourers on basic tasks.
  • Other tasks as assigned.

**What We're Looking For**

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 2-3 years of Food Manufacturing experience.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Collaborative work style.
  • Excellent communication skills.

**Bonus Points If You Have**

  • Dessert Manufacturing Facility or Bakery experience.
  • Strong BRC (or similar GFSI) knowledge or experience.
  • Strong knowledge of WHMIS, Chemical Handling, HACCP, GMP, OHSA and regulatory requirements.
