**Position Overview: The Propane Sales and Operations Manager** will oversee the sales and operational functions for Saskatoon and surrounding areas. This role requires a strong focus on business development, customer relationship management, and efficient operational practices to drive profitability and growth. The position will report into the Regional Operations Manager for the area.
**Key Responsibilities**:
**Sales Management**:
- Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue targets.
- Identify new business opportunities and expand market presence.
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with existing and potential customers.
- Conduct market research to understand industry trends and customer needs.
**Operations Oversight**:
- Manage daily operations, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
- Oversee the logistics of propane delivery and distribution, optimizing routes and resources.
- Collaborate with the service department to ensure timely and efficient customer service.
**Team Leadership**:
- Lead and mentor operations teams, fostering a winning culture of excellence, engagement, and accountability.
- Ensure operations team have the training, tools, and support required to effectively serve our customer.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide development opportunities.
**Financial Management**:
- Monitor sales performance and operational costs, preparing budgets and financial forecasts.
- Analyze sales data and customer feedback to identify areas for improvement and growth.
**Customer Relationship Management**:
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through effective communication and service delivery.
- Address customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly and professionally.
**Safety and Compliance**:
- Promote a culture of safety within the team and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.
- Ensure employees are trained and competent in their roles. Complete safety audits and inspections to maintain a safe working environment.
**Qualifications**:
- University degree or Business Diploma and/or 5+ years progressive experience with a focus in operations management, business accounting, marketing, and sales.
- Industry knowledge relating to propane or fuel distribution considered an asset
- Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
- Ability to handle conflict and de-escalate issues quickly and effectively.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with proven leadership ability while maintaining a pleasant and friendly manner is necessary.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft suite of products
