**JOB DESCRIPTION**:
The role of the Human Resources Generalist is to ensure that all Laurus staff needs are met. They are responsible for ensuring that all Laurus staff members are trained and given feedback on a regular basis.

On a daily basis, they are responsible for all things related to HR, such as processing payroll, distributing and collecting staff contracts, managing allocated federal grants for summer positions, finalizing and distributing workflows with clear expectations, establishing internal Laurus systems and protocols, organizing and leading recruitment & recruitment events, etc. Closer to the summer, they will work closely with the Head of Staff to plan and execute a weekend-long staff retreat. In addition to that, throughout the summer, they are responsible for leading the Location Directors in the mediation of disputes and infractions among their staffs and navigating difficult situations on site.

**RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE (but are not limited to)**:

- Processing payroll
- Assisting in talent acquisition and recruitment processes
- Conducting employee onboarding and help plan training & development initiatives
- Crafting and implementing HR policies
- Providing support to employees in various HR-related topics such as leaves and compensation and resolve any issues that may arise
- Promoting HR programs to create an efficient, positive and conflict-free workplace
- Assisting in development and implementation of human resource policies
- Undertaking tasks around performance management
- Gathering and analyzing data with useful HR metrics (time to hire, employee turnover rates, etc.)
- Organizing quarterly and annual employee performance reviews (bimonthly in the summer)
- Maintaining employee files and records in electronic and paper form
- Ensuring compliance with labor regulations

**REQUIREMENTS & SKILLS**:

- Minimum 2 years experience as a HR Generalist
- Understanding of general human resources policies and procedures
- Good knowledge of employment/labor laws
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Excellent communication and people skills
- Aptitude in problem-solving
- Desire to work as a team with a results driven approach
- BSc/BA in Business administration or relevant field
- Additional HR training will be a plus

**Salary**: $55,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
