Responsibilities:_
- _Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to recruiting; onboarding and exits; compensation; leaves of absence; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; recognition and morale; and training and development_
- _Assists with the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings._
- _Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention_
- _Develops and analyzes trends and metrics to develop solutions, programs and policies._
- _Manages and resolves employee relations issues. Conducts effective, thorough and objective investigations. _
- _Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations._
- _Maintains compliance with provincial employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance._
- _Collaborate with Learning & Development Specialist to support the framework that enables employees’ development and continuous learning_
- _Enforce company policies and practices, and participate in developing new organizational guidelines and procedures_
- _Support and collaborate on employee relations issues to ensure legal compliance and maintain a respectful working environment for all employees_
- _Coach and develop managers and key talents, drive development initiatives and succession planning to ensure longer term success_
- _Consult and coach business leaders on organizational change management and employee issues_
- _Champion employee engagement through effective communication and retention programs_
- _Facilitate and drive key talent development plans to strengthen the talent pipeline for all critical positions including stretched assignments, coaching or mentoring programs, professional & leadership training to retain and develop talent_
- _Contribute to our feedback culture through the creation and implementation of creative feedback processes_
- _Implement and monitor professional and robust HR processes (ex. Onboarding)_
- _Facilitate HR planning and recruitment process_
- _Ensure compliance with relevant local guidelines and with the Hanon Systems policies_
- _Develop and implement an effective two-way employee communications program that fosters understanding of key business and HR issues_
- _Support the technology change in the automotive industry with appropriate HR initiatives_
- Skills & Requirements:_
- _Post-secondary education in Human Resources and minimum 5 years’ experience in a HR Generalist position_
- CHRP/CHRL designation is an asset* Proficiency in MS Office products (i.e. Word, Excel and PowerPoint)* Experience with HRIS and payroll systems (ex. ADP Workforce Now, SAP SuccessFactors, etc.), Timekeeping software (ex. Kronos) and applicant tracking systems would be an asset_
- _Excellent analytical, problem solving, planning & organization, with a mindset which seeks opportunities for continuous improvement_
- _Strong customer focus, diplomacy, an approachable personality and the ability to deal discreetly with sensitive and confidential information_
- _Ability to effectively work in an ever changing, fast paced and team oriented environment, while managing and executing multiple priorities_
- _Highly organized and self-motivated with proven ability to deal with multiple tasks, initiate, develop and follow through on activities and projects_
- _Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written)_
- _Valid driver’s license_
