Reporting to the Senior Manager, Human Resources, as part of the HR team, the Human Resources Coordinator will be the main support on recruitment activities, health and safety, and training and development programs, as well as provide support to the HR team with the day-to-day administration of the department, including but not limited to: compensation, benefits, position administration, performance management, wellness initiatives, records management, collective agreement administration, and employee relations.
**Required Qualifications, Knowledge, Education and Skills**:
- A post-secondary degree in Human Resources, business or other related discipline.
- CHRP designation is considered an asset.
- Minimum 2 years’ related experience with particular emphasis on recruitment, project management, wellness and health and safety management, and/or training and development.
- Demonstrated experience supporting or leading equity, diversity, inclusion and accessibility work.
- Knowledge of Ontario labour laws, employment standards and workplace compliance.
- Previous experience in facilitating groups and developing training programs would also be an asset.
- Strong organizational, communication and problem-solving skills.
- Strong project management skills, including the ability to be proactive and lead initiatives.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Previous experience with HRIMS and working in a unionized environment in a public or not-for-profit organization would be an asset.
- A valid driver’s license and $1,000,000 automobile liability insurance.
- Satisfactory Criminal Record and Judicial Matters Check.
- Eligibility to work in Canada.
**Annual salary**: $59,022 - $71,817
