**About This Opportunity**

If you are looking to join the growing field of compliance (corporate and regulatory), then this opportunity is for you. As our Compliance Administrator, your responsibilities for the restaurants' business will involve proactively ensuring compliance as well as overseeing and implementing remediation (identified through compliance audits) in the areas of contracts, leases, regulations, policies and registrations, and licensing and permitting. You will also be responsible for managing centralized information systems.

**Key Responsibilities**

**Contract Compliance**:

- Lease Administration
- Contract Administration

**Regulatory Compliance**:

- Policies: Including coordinating with regulatory authorities and inspectors (and internally) regarding compliance requests; coordinating with Human Resources regarding policy roll-outs and mandated regulatory policy reviews; coordinating with operations on records for regulatory compliance

**Restaurant Information System (Legal Information/Document Management System)**:

- Set up, migration and management of new Restaurant Information System (RIS); coordinate with HR re HRIS and with Operations and Facilities on Property management system (if applicable); maintain document storage records and retrievals; manage diarization for critical dates, renewals, files, and information management

**Registrations**:
Including:

- Notices of Lease/ Non-Disturbance Agreements/ PPSA Registrations: undertake searches on all properties where there is no Notice of Lease or NDA; complete paperwork for and submit registrations (title is in lease); annual audit of internal hard copy files and e-directories for registration compliance
- Trademarks: tracking and inputting key data into Restaurant Information System (RIS); undertake quarterly searches through CIPO and USPTO; coordinate annual or semi-annual (as directed) comprehensive TM search reports (CIPO, USPTO, US state registries, domain name/URL, business name, design mark); set RIS report generation for renewals; prepare paperwork for renewals and variations to any existing TMs.

**Incident and Crisis Management**:

- Including completion of store audits to ensure issues/incidents are following the IMS/CM process and are being reported; support; support JHSC for hazard analysis

**Legal Compliance Audits (LCAs)**:

- Including assist in the collection of information required for audits; perform unannounced store compliance audits (e.g., provincially required liquor server certification logs, food handling certifications, etc.), providing post-audit evaluations.

**Assist As Needed With**
- ** Inquiries** - respond to restaurant information requests
- **Document management - **preparation for signature, file and e-file fully executed documents, data input into restaurant information or prepare summaries of key dates, key provisions for various departments for management of contracts.

**Skills and Experience**: Prior experience as a Regulatory Administrator, a Lease Administrator, a Contract Administrator, a Paralegal, a Legal Assistant or a Corporate Compliance Coordinator is beneficial but not mandatory as we will provide training in all areas.
