1-800-GOT-JUNK? is looking for a Compliance Specialist to join our team in the Vancouver area. You are passionate about upholding an organisation's ethical integrity and ensuring compliance within our franchise system is being met. You drive measurable impacts and bring high visibility to areas of risk and compliance deviations. You will support our business-critical project of implementing a compliance monitoring process, which will help provide important insights into compliance areas across our franchise system.

As a key member of the 1-800-GOT-JUNK? team, you will work closely with business owners, operations, field teams and vendors to ensure 1-800-GOT-JUNK? has the systems and tools in place to monitor our risk and compliance areas.

For this role's duty and responsibility we anticipate that you will be in the office 25% of time.

**A Day in the Life**
- Oversee vendor management of COI collection process and monitor for escalation issues
- Identify gaps in compliance requirements, work with various departments to make recommendations to the process
- Make suggestions and recommendations to management regarding the implementation and usage of the new process
- Introduce new process to internal teams and manage the change
- Report against key compliance metrics, highlight trends and areas for action
- Manage updates and audits to the 1-800-GOT-JUNK? Operations Manual
- Plan, prepare and manage external audits. Analyze results and make recommendations to stakeholders about corrective action
- Manage mystery shop vendor and program. Identify ways to enhance program through competitive research
- Theft identification trends from mystery shops (or loss prevention)
- Develop mystery shop best practices and awareness program and share with franchise system
- Develop ways to monitor, track and reduce loss (loss prevention measures)
- Prepare communications to franchise system regarding compliance via several communication channels (news bulletins, slide decks, etc.)
- Partner with legal team to issue damages for escalated infractions

**What You Bring to the Table**
- Regulatory experience in implementing and enforcing compliance measures
- Competent at reviewing data and making informed business recommendations
- Detail oriented to ensure tracking of all compliance and escalation needs
- Problem-solving skills to work through challenging situations
- Ability to uphold compliance standards across a range of business owners
- Skilled in conflict resolution
- Proven leadership abilities leading and / or partnering with multiple stakeholders
- Experience managing multiple projects
- Experience coordinating and managing several vendors
- Focus on improving compliance key metrics
- Comfortable introducing change through process or system changes

**Compensation and Benefits**
- Salary $65,000 - $85,000 per annum (Actual salary offered will be commensurate with education, experience and internal parity).
