The Compliance Monitoring Specialist will be responsible to:

- Monitor compliance with project permit conditions and verify implementation of environmental protection and other measures identified in construction environmental management plans and other required plans, including reviewing reports, documents, and plans, and conducting and coordinating site visits.
- Work with project leads to educate permit holders on how to use the CME self-report tool. Build relationships with new permit holders and provide support, assistance and reassurance about the compliance monitoring and enforcement program and expectations.
- Coordinate and collaborate with Environmental Monitors (EMs) and Independent Monitors (IMs) in order to fulfill the requirements of the compliance monitoring and enforcement program.
- Lead ongoing development of and coordinate implementation and maintenance of the compliance monitoring and enforcement program, including potential improvements identified through continuous improvement initiatives.
- Develop guidance documents and related materials to support ongoing development and implementation of the compliance monitoring and enforcement program, maintain records of compliance verification activities, and track and report on project status and compliance
- Provide port authority representation at meetings with environmental and other regulatory agencies, Indigenous groups, and community and stakeholder organizations as required.
- Carry out special projects, studies and reviews related to construction environmental monitoring and management of air, water, groundwater, soils and sediment quality issues and toxicology necessary to support the compliance monitoring and enforcement program.

Success Profile:
Terms & Hours:
The starting salary for this role is $114,384.21 per annum. The Port Authority offers a competitive compensation and benefits package including a RRSP matching program and an Earned Time Off program. This position works 40 hours per week.
