**Job Overview**
The Summer Intern, Human Resources will work on tasks and projects that help our employee population thrive. The Summer Intern’s focus will be supporting the Learning & Organizational Development unit. In addition, the intern will support other projects that span the full employee lifecycle, including talent acquisition, onboarding, employee engagement, performance management, learning and development, and special projects.

**Responsibilities**

Assist with training programs:

- Help in planning and coordination of in-person and virtual training sessions, including organizing events, registration and attendance tracking, scheduling and calendars, prepare resources (documents, stationery, etc.)
- Support delivery of in-person and virtual training workshops including recording virtual/hybrid sessions, managing attendance, distributing material, technology support in collaboration with IT
- Update and maintain records and databases
- Request and collate training feedback

Learning Management System (LMS) Admin Support:

- Enroll users and manage user access to various courses
- Monitor and report on user progress and completion rates
- Troubleshoot LMS issues and provide support to users
- Help to create, curate and organize online courses
- Assist in the creation of quizzes, assessments and surveys within the LMS

Assist with new program designs:

- Support needs assessment activities to align new programs to PEO’s needs and goals
- Conduct research on potential training providers, content, assessment and survey tools
- Conduct research on best practice in learning and development and stay updated on new learning trends

Additional duties:

- Assist with HR programs and various HR projects, which may include but is not limited to talent acquisition, onboarding, employee engagement (e.g., assist with launch of programs to support employee satisfaction), performance management, health and safety initiatives and HR projects.

**Requirements**:
Skills includes:

- General knowledge of human resources practices
- ESA and other legislation
- Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work within a team and independently while maintaining a high level of confidentiality and professionalism
- Strong presentation skills
- Attention to detail
- Willing to learn new technologies

Qualifications:

- 2nd year or 3rd year student, currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or college program in Human Resources or a related field

Contract length: 4 months

Pay: $22.00 per hour
