**Job Summary**
Reporting to the Director of Client Services, the Inside Sales and Service (ISSR) Supervisor will adhere to company policies and lead by example as they oversee the daily operations of the Inside Sales and Service team, provide leadership, direction, and support. He/she will be responsible for ensuring this department runs efficiently while achieving and maintaining established departmental goals and objectives.
This role is critical to the success of the business in directing all interaction with the organizations clients to ensure exceptional customer experience.
To be successful in this role, the ISSR Supervisor requires strong communication and interpersonal skills to lead his/her team in support of his/her objectives; you will work in collaboration with other departments and Company management to trouble shoot and ensure product conformance. He/she will be a strong leader, have a professional demeanor under stressful situations; is confident and decisive; energetic and self-directed with exceptional organizational and time management skills. They must be willing to participate in the company’s leadership program or similar professional development program as recommended by Management.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Provide consultation, coordination, and assistance to other departments, our Sales force and customers. Oversee the timely preparation of detailed and accurate cost estimates, and order entry, for aluminum building envelope projects
- Achieve acceptable sales and margin levels, this is achieved through monitoring actual vs. estimated costs and working with Operations to adjust standards accordingly.
- Ensure the effectiveness of the ISS group with respect to Customer communications in responding to inquiries and providing updates on orders and delivery status, technical information, production capabilities, general pricing information, and return information.
- Work with Client Development Managers to promote positive customer relations; as well as, collaborate to create effective bid strategies.
- Prepare and complete action plans; identifying improvements, problem resolution and change implementation.
- Manage performance and coaching opportunities with the ISS team.
- Improve customer service quality results by studying, evaluating, and re-designing processes; establishing and communicating service metrics; monitoring and analyzing results; and implementing changes.
- Collect and consolidate data to report on Market pricing strategy, quote log and run charts.
- Monitor the customer delivery commitment against the production schedule and ensure the customer is updated in a timely fashion.
- Maintain good housekeeping practices in work area using the 5s + 1 principles; support and actively participate in continuous improvement objectives.
- Attend Sales events as required.
**Competencies and Qualifications**
**Education, Training & Technical Aptitude**
- Fluency in both French and English language is preferred
- Post-secondary education in Architectural Technology and/or Building Sciences with a minimum 5 years’ experience working in a manufacturing environment such as Aluminum Doors / Windows is preferred.
- A minimum 3-5 years’ experience in a supervisory role is preferred.
- Previous related experience in a commercial window and door company or building product manufacturing environment is an asset.
- Prior estimating experience with window manufacturer or glazing sub-contractor is preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret production documents such as shop drawings, fabrication drawings, and construction documents including drawings, specifications and tenders.
- Demonstrated working knowledge of fabrication and installation in order to analyze and interpret the needs of customers and offer the appropriate options, solutions, and resolutions is preferred.
- Strong geometry & math skills, along with strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite is required.
- Strong organizational skills in order to maintain detailed and organized records and correspondence.
- This position requires 10% travel for meetings, conferences, and site visits (Toronto, Montreal, Winnipeg). Option to have main office at either location.
**Customer Service**
- A strong command of both French and English language (read, write and speak) is required. Customer facing, therefore must present well, communicate effectively & conduct themselves professionally.
- Must be able to interact with suppliers using good negotiation tactics.
- Facilitates open communication; uses discretion and demonstrates sensitivity to confidentiality concerns; listens effectively and provides appropriate feedback.
