**Who are we searching for?**

Purchasing Coordinator

As we continue to experience growth in our company and school, we are looking for a new member to join our Purchasing Team.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and service-oriented individual who is excited to join our close-knit group of professionals. You get to use your critical thinking skills while collaborating with the Purchasing Director to research and source supplies and build top quality kits for our students. You have a flexible, positive vibe and thrive in a fast paced environment.

**What is the job?**

Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
Receiving:

- Receive incoming inventory ensuring accuracy
- Unload and unpack shipments of products.
- Inspect shipments for damage and correct quantities.
- Report damages or shortages to the appropriate person.
- Match shipments to their associated purchase orders and enter receiving data on paperwork.
- Record receiving data in company databases.

Kit Building:

- Assemble student kits for prior to class starts in a timely manner
- Report any missing or back ordered items to the Purchasing Director and the Department heads
- Create Build Orders to remove INV from stock

Student Orientations:

- Issue kits to students
- Go through kit supplies with students
- Address any discrepancies or concerns from students regarding their kits

Returns and Miscellaneous Duties:

- Assist students with defective products
- Effectively communicate and collaborate with suppliers to remedy defective or short shipped items.

This is a framework of the core responsibilities. As your role evolves, additional duties and responsibilities may be assigned.

**What are the Qualifications?**
- Related experience in the cosmetic industry, knowledge of makeup preferred
- Ability to work with mínimal supervision
- Strong communication skills and being comfortable talking and explaining products in front of groups or 20+ students
- Ability to respond to challenges, problem solve and embrace continuous improvement
- Physical ability to move and lift boxes up to 50-60 pounds
- Demonstrated organizational skills to effectively prioritize workload and meet deadlines
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment that changes daily
- Highly organized and detail-oriented

**Job Types**: Full Time on-site position

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- Flexibility to work some weekends or evenings preferred for orientations

Work Location: One main location
- Flexible to move between campuses at a moment's notice (2 campus downtown Vancouver, 1 campus uptown)

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Holidays
- Night shift
- Weekend availability
