ABOUT THE ROLEHerschel Supply Co. is looking for an Allocation & Purchasing Coordinator to join our Demand Planning & Purchasing team. This role makes a real impact as you'll be at the centre of how product moves through our business, supporting store performance, inventory health, and the flow of goods from suppliers to the hands of our customers.
You'll work closely with internal teams, retail stores, suppliers, and vendors to ensure product is allocated accurately, purchase orders are processed smoothly, and inventory remains balanced and reliable. Success in this role requires strong attention to detail, clear communication, and a proactive, solutions-oriented approach.

A DAY-IN-THE-LIFEAllocation Management
Monitor inventory levels and allocate resources based on demand and inventory data to stores.
Collaborate with sales and planning teams to ensure the efficient allocation of products or materials.
Adjust allocation plans as needed to meet changing business requirements.
Initiate stock balancing between stores and warehouses as required.
Create and process purchase orders for the acquisition of goods and materials.
Review purchase requisitions for accuracy and completeness.
Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of ordered items.
Update and amend purchase orders as needed with the most current information.
Communicate with suppliers regarding units, delivery schedules, and order updates.
Maintain accurate records of inventory levels and transactions.
Perform regular inventory audits and reconcile any discrepancies.
Monitor stock levels to prevent overstock or stockouts.
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is preferred.
Experience in allocation, purchasing, or supply planning.
Strong knowledge of procurement processes, supply chain management, and inventory control.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Experience working with an ERP system is an asset.
Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Advanced Excel skills and the ability to work with large raw data sets.
Adaptable and able to maintain a high level of accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
The annual salary for this role falls within the range of $52,000-$60,000 depending on experience.
