**Human Resources Manager**
**Position Summary**
Under the direction of the Chief People Officer within the People Resources Department, the Human Resources Manager is accountable for the supervision of Human Resources staff as well as provision of accurate and timely human resource management advice and consultancy services to managers and field supervisors. The Human Resources Manager will take enforce human resource policy and undertake human resource projects where appropriate.
**Role & Responsibilities**
- Management of staff team, including supporting recruitment process and onboarding initiatives
- Develop and maintain long term working relationships with team members at every level as well as with field employees
- Support employee opportunities for professional development
- Conduct effective, thorough and objective investigations to achieve a reasonable resolution that is consistent with sound employee relations practices and employment laws
- Assist with the development and delivery of appropriate feedback and labour relations
- Ensure compliance with human rights laws, as well as the organization’s policies and procedures
- Oversee all activities related to termination of employment including documentation, wage payout, benefits information, security, and all legal requirements
- Work collaboratively with the Shared Services team to provide legislative guidance on leaves of absence and return to work programs
- Maintain HR policies and SOPs as they require updating or renewing
- Tracking and analyzing HR metrics to identify trends and analytics
- Responsible for development and maintenance of a comprehensive performance management system, including the creation of a work environment and work systems allowing employees to perform to their full potential
- Creating and delivering educational presentations that are engaging and interactive which focus on HR practices and people management as required
- Oversee, maintain and review performance review process for organization
- Responsible for recruitment and onboarding of all staff
- Assist in training needs analysis to establish training requirements
- Act consistently in the workplace according to our vision, mission and values
**Skills & Qualifications**
- Post-secondary education in Human Resources
- Minimum of 5 years’ Human Resources experience with a wide range of knowledge in all aspects of human resources
- Minimum 3 years’ previous supervisory/managerial experience
- CPHR designation or in the process of obtaining the designation preferred
- Knowledge of employment law, performance review programs and progressive counseling
- Hands-on experience with Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS) or Human Resource Management Systems (HRMS)
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook required
- Experience with SharePoint an asset
- Ability to communicate passionately, effectively and persuasively across a diverse set of stakeholders and to facilitate effective communication both internally and externally
- Ability to motivate and inspire positive performance
- Ability to problem-solve and remove barriers in complex situations
- Ability to find innovative solutions
